AWS have teamed up with Bomaksan, one of the leading brands in Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV), to launch a new selection of portable LEV systems designed for all common welding processes including TIG, MMA, MIG, and FCAW.
These fume extractors capture welding fume directly at the source, and can be manoeuvred around the workplace to accommodate a range of different welding positions and situations.
What’s new about Bomaksan?
The Bomaksan fume extraction range includes systems with cleanable filters and self-cleaning systems, to cater for light welding fume environments right up to the heaviest welding fume environments*. With lightweight options, welding bench options, single arm, dual arm, and even options for offices in close proximity to welders, there is a portable LEV system for all environments and budgets. All Bomaksan mobile LEV systems (excluding the Bomaksan Bench) come with a manoeuvrable 3 metre extraction arm(s), for precise placement.

The Bomaksan PRO is available in both single arm (part no. BPRO13) and dual arm variants (part no. BPRO23). Once again the system includes a cleanable NanoBLEND filter (F9 > 95%) with a notably large 24m2 surface area, plus the option to select a PolyMIGHT filter (H13 HEPA 99.99%) for high alloy materials.
The Bomaksan BENCH (part no. BBENCH) combines all the benefits of a mobile LEV fume extraction system with a downdraft bench and two cleanable cartridge filters that extend filter lifetime and lower ownership costs (choose NanoBLEND or PolyMIGHT). Equipped with a filter clog display, fan rotation direction display, ON/OFF switch, expandable side panels, and working hour counter, the BENCH is also completely self-sufficient once connected to power (no ducting required).

The Bomaksan PULSE extractor is an industry leading, HEPA rated, mobile welding fume extraction unit, again available as a single arm system (part no. BPULSE13) or dual arm system (part no. BPULSE23). These feature automatic jet-pulse cleaning (compressed air 80 PSI), ensuring continuous operation and less frequent maintenance.
