The Speedglas 9100 MP Welding & Safety Helmet with Adflo PAPR was designed from inception to integrate 5 levels of welding protection: all fully compliant with the relevant Australian and New Zealand standards for eye protection, high impact face protection, respiratory protection, head protection, and hearing protection.
The result is a flip-up respiratory welding helmet that features the same large, curved clear grinding visor as the 9100 FX Air, only now with a built-in safety helmet made from heat-resistant polycarbonate. What’s more, the Speedglas 9100 MP is fully compatible with 3M Peltor H31 Class 4 earmuffs to provide you with optional hearing protection.
The below video sees AWS Training Specialist Sarah Louise break down an extensive range of features that make the 9100 MP the go-to all round welding safety solution for professional welders:

Exceptional optical quality
The 9100XXi welding lens features Auto-On technology, meaning the lens is instantly ready to weld as soon as an arc is struck; programmed to your last used welding setting. The clarity of the shade 3 light state is maximised by TrueView optics, which allow a broader spectrum of colours to pass through the lens for a lighter, brighter and more naturalistic view.
An extra-large 73 x 107mm viewing area combines with peripheral SideWindows to give the welder a comprehensive view of both their workpiece and wider surroundings. And finally, the lens is capable of detecting an arc down to an industry-leading 1 amp with a centre sensor for TIG applications.
The 3M™ Adflo™ Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR)
The award-winning Adflo PAPR offers excellent lightweight, adaptable and mobile respiratory protection, as constant, clean air flows directly into the breathing zone while you weld. With the right type of filters, an Adflo respirator effectively protects against a range of gases, vapours, and particles and has subsequently become synonymous with welding respiratory protection.
The Adflo is available either with the standard battery option for approximately 8 hours runtime or a heavy-duty alternative that provides approximately 12 hours runtime (provided the battery is fully charged and the filters clean). While the battery charges to 100% capacity in approximately 4-5 hours, the Rapid Charge function gets the battery to 80% capacity in approximately one hour.
The Speedglas 9100 MP Air carries a 3 year warranty on the welding lens and a 2 year warranty on the Adflo PAPR. This cover is revolving, meaning that if you experience an issue with your lens or PAPR within this period, you will be issued with a replacement and your period of cover starts again. You can extend your cover by an extra year for free by registering your product here!
