Supplied Air with a High Air Flow Rate

With its lightweight, belt-mounted design, the V-500E supplied air regulator offers comfortable protection in strenuous welding conditions, providing adjustable high airflow rates between 170 and 305 litres per minute.

Powerful Protection from Airborne Pollutants

In line with the Australian & New Zealand Standard for respiratory protection (AS/NZS1716), the 3M V-500E regulator offers a Required Minimum Protection Factor (RMPF) of over 100 for thermally and mechanically generated particles, including harmful welding fumes. This ensures that the welder breathes air that is more than 100 times cleaner than what they would inhale unprotected.

Consistent Airflow Distribution

For optimal comfort, the Speedglas G5-03 respiratory helmet is designed with an airflow pattern that ensures consistent distribution of filtered air throughout the entire breathing zone. A diffuser is used to evenly disperse clean air around the helmet.

Breathing Filtration Unit

In order to meet respiratory safety standards (AS/NZS1716), compressed air must not include contaminants such as oil, mist, water vapour, and non-toxic, unpleasant odours. These can be effectively removed via a breathing air filtration system, connected to the 3M V-500E regulator through a breathing air hose. Breathing Tube with Quick Release

A self-adjusting Quick Release Swivel (QRS) enables one handed connection and release, and keeps the hose close to the welder without risk of catching on other objects.

Regulator Noise Below 65dBA

The V-500E Regulator includes a built-in low flow warning whistle and silencer. These maintain the regulator’s noise level at the volume of a typical conversation (<65dBA).
